Senior Management

Scott Buchanan, Principal + Creative Strategist

You can run wildly through the design gamut and chances are Scott either did it or has a close brush with the experience. His versatility in design and illustration over the past 15 years allows him to conceptualize unique campaigns that are not only effective, but memorable. From printing on cork to creating an art museum pitch based around a velvet "Dogs Playing Poker" painting, expect the unexpected.

At Nocturnal, Scott brings his strategic and creative experience to the table during the branding process as well as oversees the development and execution phases for anything beholden to the universe of design. If at any point it needs to be graphically designed, illustrated, packaged, direct mailed, or uploaded, as true as grass is green, it has to go through Scott.

Formerly, Scott successfully owned and operated Rabid Robot Design, a full-service design company in Greenland, New Hampshire. Specializing in illustration, corporate identity and branding, his experience with retail and B2B has allowed him to see both sides of marketing and creative that reflect his knowledge of brand building and strategy.

Prior to Rabid Robot Design, Scott worked for Brown and Company Design as a senior illustrator, designer and product manager for their print, publications and web groups. His skills in managing both client and service kept harmony in the world, sustaining all that is good. Before joining Brown, Scott worked for seven years in screen printing as a senior designer for companies such as Fruit of the Loom/Pro Player Sportswear and Coed Sportswear.

A sample of his former clientele includes: Bowstreet, CASA of NH, Currier Museum of Art, Gunstock USA, MLB®, MLS®, NBA®, NFL®, NHL®, WNBA®, Measured Progress, Phillips Exeter Academy, PSNH, Priority Healthcare Corporation, and The Timberland Company.
